Who makes a kitchen faucet with
water filtration built in?
Moen makes the most well known filter faucet, called the PureTouch.
It is available in several finishes and is a perfect choice for
homeowners who don't have room under the sink for a standard
filtration system.
Do all faucet models fit all kitchen sinks?
Most do since standard-size sink openings and faucet dimensions are
used throughout the plumbing industry. However, since there are a
few exceptions, it is a good idea to check sizes first. The one area
you might want to verify is the spout length just to make sure the
spout hits inside the sink basin and is not too long. Most of the
time, this won't be a problem either, but if you have an
exceptionally long faucet and/or a short sinks from front to back,
it could come into play in your buying decision.
A faucet is a valve for controlling the flow of a liquid or gas. It
can refer to a valve for tap water a faucet. In a broader but less
common sense, it may refer to any water spigot.
Older style water taps for bathing, sinks and basins generally had
separate hot and cold taps. A more modern tap design is the 'mixer',
a single tap whose handle moves up and down to control the amount of
water flow and from side to side to control the temperature of the
water (achieved by mixing the hot and cold water together). Latest
designs do this using a built in thermostat.
